Ole Gunnar Solskjaer future hangs in balance as Zinedine Zidane has two managerial option

Despite currently sitting top of the Premier League, according to recent reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United future is once again hanging in the balance.

That’s according to a recent report from Todo Fichajes, who claims one of the leading candidates to replace the Norweigan is former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

Solskjaer has come under fire recently after the Red Devils put in a poor performance in their opening Champions League group game against Young Boys.

After full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off following a poorly timed challenge, Solskjaer was forced to tactically adapt – something he failed to do which resulted in his Swiss opponents coming back to win the game 2-1.

In light of what was an underwhelming European night in Switzerland, Solskjaer has once again seen his name heavily linked with the Old Trafford exit.

One name heavily linked to replace him is Zidane, who, according to Todo Fichajes, is keen to replace Didier Deschamps as the head of the French national team.

However, another position of significant interest to the former world-class midfielder could be the Red Devils’ hot seat.

These reports come at the same time the Mirror list Zidane as one of three possible successors to Solskjaer.
