EURO 2024: HOW MANY EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS HAS CRISTIANO RONALDO PLAYED IN? HOW MANY GOALS HAS HE SCORED?
One of the world's greatest ever players was back in action at the latest edition of the European Championships as Cristiano Ronaldo featured in the Portugal team looking to win the competition for the second time. The Al-Nassr forward's influence was expected to be key, but ultimately he failed to score in regular play throughout the tournament in Germany.
Cristiano Ronaldo, despite being 39, was seen an integral part of the Portugal squad that was aiming to win their second European Championship.
With a men's record 130 goals from 212 appearances for his country to date, the veteran Ronaldo showed a couple of signs of letting up as he struggled to make an impact.
The Al-Nassr forward hoped to lead Portugal to glory in Germany as well as adding to his own records for goals and success, but despite converting in the quarter-final shoot-out against France, he failed to register a goal in regular play.
Portugal began their Euro 2024 campaign with a 2-1 win against Czechia on Tuesday, January 18, but lost their July 5 quarter-final against France.
